  • From my office
  • Random stat of the week
  • Are you in the UK?
  • Thoughts about equipment...
  • Session Spotlight
  • Dispelling a Myth
  • Useful links

From my office:

Things are changing / tightening up in the world of emails (to combat spam), and I've noticed recently that some emails that clients have sent me haven't been arriving.  I'm taking steps to rectify, but if you've sent me an email and received no reply, be assured that I'm not ghosting you and do feel free to send me a reminder!!  (You can always get me direct on trishawren@hotmail.com too.)

Random stat of the week

You know by now how I love my spreadsheets, lol.  When I was updating my business stats last week I thought this was interesting about the countries my clients come from.

Horse sessions are fairly evenly split between New Zealand, Australia, and the US (34% / 30% / 33%).

When it comes to dog sessions though, 46% have come from Australia, and 32% from NZ.

No idea why, but I thought it was interesting!

Are you in the UK?

Coming back to those previous stats, I'm curious about why bookings from the UK are low (especially since I'm Scottish, lol).

One suggestion was my SEO, which I can definitely look at.

Another was that "people here are skeptical or wouldn’t know what to search for about it."

Interesting!

So, are you from the UK?  I'd love to know your thoughts - how open you / your friends are to Animal Communication, how you'd google it or look for a referral.

And, I'd love to offer you an incentive to book if you're from the UK and have never had a session with me!

Just use the coupon code UK20OFF when you check out, to get 20% off your first session!

Thoughts about equipment...

I think I shared already that my new little rescue dog, Charlie, has a collapsing trachea.  It doesn't seem to bother him too much, and can be managed.  However, it does mean that he can't wear a collar - and isn't particularly disposed to having a harness on, either.  (I don't know the details of what's happened to him in the past but he certainly doesn't have positive reactions to these things.)

Then, a visitor who had an even smaller dog, wearing a harness, just routinely picked him up by the harness when putting in and out of the car etc, without really even calling him over or using any cues or commands.

It has made me acutely aware of how much we rely on things like collars, halters, leads / reins etc.  If you have them, you use them...  Without, everything I do with Charlie has to be on his terms, or ok with him.  To groom him (he's a Pomeranian), I can't just hang on to the collar to 'make' him keep still while I get it done. It's been stretching my brain, I can tell you!

Cats are possibly the other end of the spectrum from horses then dogs, as far fewer of them wear collars, and we all kind of 'know' that you have to get a cat 'on side' if you want it to do something, lol.

Something to think about with your horses and dogs - how much can you get done with them not tied up or held on to??  Do we really have a good relationship and connection with them if we have to contain or hold on to them?

Session Spotlight

Are you and your horse feeling a bit out of sync?

This month's 'Session Spotlight' is my Joint Horse & Rider Rebalance.

In this session I clear and rebalance the energy field and chakras of you and your horse individually, then rebalance your joint energy.

Get back on track now - just NZ $111.

Dispelling a Myth

Whether you're a new friend, a neighbour with animals, or a client, you need to know -

your animals aren't telling tales on you.

I see this question cross people's faces particularly the first time I tell them what I do for a living.  I think they think that when I'm around their animals I'll be getting told all sorts of things about them.

In that situation it's good to know, or remember, that that's not how I get my info, ie I don't get streams of conversation from every animal I meet.  Because I've created my own protocol and boundaries, I have to actually ask permission before connecting with an animal - from them, and from you.  So don't worry when I'm petting your dog that they're telling me all your secrets, lol.

The same goes for my formal sessions.  Your horse isn't going to be spilling your deepest darkest secrets to me!  Unless it's directly affecting them, they seem to be uninterested, or, just not into gossip, lol.
