If you didn't already see it on Facebook, my week started with this lovely sight!

Roo, always governed by her stomach, decided to climb in amongst these big tree trunks in her paddock in search of a blade of grass...

There were a couple of poos behind her so she had been there a little while; there was no room for her to back up and get out the way she'd come in. Thankfully she's not phased by much, realised she needed help getting out, and waited for us...

Hubbie managed to put a chain around the log that's just to the right of her nose and pull it out with the tractor, then she just calmly stepped out, lol.

Not a scratch on her, and no chainsaws required!

By the way, for scale and so that you realise how big and heavy those logs are, she's 16.3hh...

Stat of the week:

Did you know that I offer an "Urgent" session, where you're guaranteed your session will happen within 24 hours? It's for those times where you need an answer or insight quickly. Maybe your horse is / has been sick or injured or you're just particularly worried about them; maybe you have some sort of deadline looming, or a vet visit booked, and want info beforehand.

Training Recommendations:

Often 'training' type issues come up in sessions, and there are some options that I regularly recommend in my feedback.

If you're looking for kinder ways of working with your horse, and taking his opinions and preferences into account, I'd highly recommend that you look into the Tellington Method, which teaches animals to think rather than react. It's a holistic approach to animal training, healing, and well-being - and, in my opinion, the gentlest and kindest method of training I've found.

If you and your horse need biomechanical help, eg with balance and softness, check out Connected Riding to improve your awareness of body and movement.

(I was previously certified in both of these modalities.)

When it comes to building a deeper relationship with your horse, I've heard great things about the Trust Technique - a method that uses mindfulness and presence to enhance communication and trust between people and animals - so that could be worth looking into.

And if your horse is struggling to stay in energetic balance, and / or you're looking for a way to develop your ability to see their tiny communications with you, a tip I give more than anything else is to try the Masterson Method Bladder Meridian Technique. Anyone can do it, give it a go!

Self study Animal Communication Course:

If you want to go deeper in terms of understanding and communicating with your horse, you might like to dive into my self study online course.

It's a great way to identify and develop your own skills, with lots of guidance and tips from me.

The course contains 6 weeks worth of exercises and information, including guided meditations and downloads, all to do at your own pace. You have unlimited access and can repeat either sections or the whole course as often as you like.

Options I always recommend for people on this path are things like learning bodywork modalities for your horse, and learning energy work like Reiki.
