Now that I have some time to get back to working 'on' the business, I have been thinking lately about session reminders, triggered by 2 experiences of my own.

In September last year I treated myself to a facial and bought the very expensive products that the (1 person) salon recommended. She said they'd likely last me around 3 months. She had all my contact details, as I'd filled out an extensive intake form. I guess I expected to hear from her again after a few months, and to be honest, I would probably have purchased the products again if she had, because it would have been the easy option. But, to date, not a peep from her - a huge missed opportunity on her behalf I think!

Then, for my horse, I've been getting some bodywork recently. She responds very well to it, likes the bodyworker, and I'm seeing improvements in her body and movement - but, I have to remember to contact the bodyworker when I want a session, rather than receiving reminders from them. Again, from a business point of view it's a bit of a missed opportunity.

Of course, it's always possible that these people have plenty of business and therefore don't need to chase up more, but they're not really nurturing their existing clients.

There's a fine line between that nurturing, reminding, and badgering, too. So, this is just a quick reminder how I might be able to help you.

When you first become a client (by booking online), you'll be entered into an automatic reminder system, which will send you an email 3 months after that first session to see if you're ready to rebook.

(Note, if you're in NZ and contact me directly and pay by direct credit, you won't be in this system.)

That's the only reminder I send out at this point and I'd love to know if you'd like a more regular reminder, eg quarterly, twice a year, annually.
Your other option is to 'subscribe' to regular sessions - and doing this also protects you from any price increases 😉 (I still have clients paying just $50 for an Energy Balance, which now costs $115!) The interval in between can be whatever you choose, and you'll get an invoice each time to remind you that the session is due.

I have clients with several horses who use this method to cycle through each so they all get a regular session.
